About me

Alain Ali Washnevsky was born in Iran to Iranian born parents and raised in Vienna, Austria. Early in life, his future as a professional communicator across several different mediums was already manifesting. As a child, he used to talk so much people would pay him to shut up. Today gets paid to speak. However, the full manifestation of this gift would not come to fruition for Alain until the age of 33.

Alain enjoyed a successful real estate career in Vienna. At 33, and in the prime of his career, he felt empty. What he identifies as his inner spirit, pulled him in a different direction. In 2011 Alain moved to Los Angeles, California gripping the shoulders of his true passion to be a performer, storyteller and creator. 3 short years later Alain was on the stage in the finals of the 2014 World Championship of Public Speaking.

His TV credits span dramatic roles in notable series like "Homeland", "Scandal", "The Rookie", "Lucifer", "13 Reason Why", "NCIS", "Seal Team", "Westworld", and an Oscar-nominated short film, as well as comedic roles in "Curb Your Enthusiasm", "Better Things", "The Connors", and the critically acclaimed sitcom "Roseanne", where he played the family's neighbor.

In 2019 another longterm dream came true. Alain had his directorial debut with My Love.  A short film about love, dreams, growing up, letting go and finding acceptance.

Alain is a wanderer of the world, is well traveled, and familiar with many cultures. His childhood in Vienna, the capital of classical music, influenced his love for the art. But it took another decade and moving 1000s of miles across an ocean, to find by some twist of fate his love for classical music.

In 2021 Alain had his operatic debut in the iconic the role of the Commendatore in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s masterpiece Don Giovanni with Mission Opera in Los Angeles and shortly after that he performed at the the famous Broad Stage in Los Angeles, with the Santa Monica College, the role of Baron of Pictordu in Pauline Viardot’s Cendrillon (Cinderella).

He is fluent in English, German, Farsi, and conversational in French. He enjoys nurturing relationships, leading a healthy lifestyle, art, creativity, talking about spirituality and loves being married to his wife Morgan.

12 years after moving to Los Angeles to start his life over, a life beyond his wildest dream has blossomed. His experience is a true testament that it is never too late to chase your passion. He is a living example of the adage "follow your dreams" and the pursuit of happiness.
